Joey Wellman is an American cartoonist, visiting an exhibition in Paris. Uncomfortable with this new environment, he wants to go home; that is when he meets Christian Gauthier, a teacher who admires Joey's work. Christian invites Joey for dinner at his home. Christian actually got married with Elsie, Joey's own daughter, and they haven't seen each other for years. Happy to meet again, Elsie will return back to the States, whereas Joey will choose to stay in France.
